Job Description:
We are seeking a seasoned security leader to serve as the Head, Intelligence. You will be the strategic architect behind our proactive security posture, responsible for identifying, assessing, and mitigating threats to our assets, operations, and reputation across Nigeria and our Pan-African footprint. This is a high-stakes leadership role that requires a blend of deep investigative expertise, military/paramilitary discipline, and the ability to influence senior stakeholders across diverse geographical regions.
Requirements:
Intelligence Strategy & Operations
Threat Mitigation: Lead the collection, analysis, and dissemination of security intelligence to drive informed decision-making at the group level.
Proactive Assessment: Monitor geopolitical, social, and security developments; conduct thorough threat assessments for plant locations, critical logistics movements, and strategic projects.
Intelligence-Led Strategy: Develop and implement robust, intelligence-led security frameworks that enhance operational resilience.
Data Synthesis: Analyze information from diverse sources to transform raw data into actionable insights for the Group Head, Security.
Stakeholder Engagement & Collaboration
External Liaison: Cultivate and maintain high-level relationships with government security agencies (Police, Military, Customs, and Intelligence Services).
Cross-Functional Synergy: Collaborate closely with Plant Security Heads, business unit leaders, and Social Performance teams to ensure intelligence activities are perfectly aligned with operational priorities.
Reporting: Prepare and deliver high-level briefings and presentations to senior leadership, ensuring they remain ahead of emerging risks.
Qualifications and Skills:
Education: Bachelor’s degree in Security Studies, Social Sciences, or a related discipline. A Master’s degree is a distinct advantage.
Experience: Minimum of 10 years of relevant experience in a security role within a government security agency.
Background: A military or paramilitary background is highly desirable.
Certifications: Professional security certifications (e.g., CPP, PSP, PCI, CPO, CSS, APP) are an added advantage.
