Job Description:

We are seeking a high-caliber Group Strategy & Risk Management Manager to oversee the formulation and implementation of our corporate strategic policies, risk mitigation frameworks, and internal control systems. This is a senior leadership role designed for a professional who can blend big-picture strategic thinking with the rigorous discipline of risk management and system auditing.

The successful candidate will act as a strategic advisor to the GMD, ensuring that the company’s operating plans are resilient, scalable, and fully aligned with our long-term growth objectives within the financial services landscape.

Requirements:

Strategic Planning & Execution

• Operating Plan Management: Develop and manage the system operating plan in alignment with the group's strategic goals, ensuring all milestones are achieved.

• Performance Metrics: Establish and monitor key metrics to measure strategic progress and ensure actions are completed at every level of the organization.

• Continuous Improvement: Champion the evolution of strategy and risk management practices to maintain a competitive edge.

Enterprise Risk Management (ERM)

• Methodology Development: Create innovative risk assessment methodologies to evaluate external threats, internal exposures, and process inefficiencies.

• Risk Dashboarding: Maintain Group-wide risk registers and enterprise risk dashboards to provide real-time visibility into the company's risk posture.

• Mitigation Strategies: Implement and monitor comprehensive risk mitigation strategies across all business units.

• Integrated ORM: Manage and steward the Integrated Opportunity and Risk Management (ORM) program, providing regular updates as market conditions shift.

Control, Audit & Resilience

• Internal Controls: Oversee the internal control environment and review all independent assurance activities conducted by auditors.

• Business Continuity: Support resilience planning and steward the development of business resumption plans for all operative units.

• Culture Leadership: Drive a company-wide culture of risk awareness, accountability, and execution discipline.

• Contingency Planning: Conduct regular risk assessments to identify weaknesses and develop robust contingency plans.

Qualifications and Skills:

• Education:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Economics, Finance, Business Administration, Accounting, or Risk Management.

  • Master’s Degree (MBA or related field) is highly preferred.

• Experience:

  • 9+ years of relevant experience in risk management, corporate strategy, consulting, or financial services.

  • Specific experience in banking, investment management, or asset management is preferred.

  • Proven track record in preparing executive and board-level reports.

• Professional Certifications:

  • FRM (Global Association of Risk Professionals) — Required.

  • CFA (Chartered Financial Analyst) — Significant added advantage.

  • Relevant certifications in Governance or Strategy.

• Core Competencies:

  • Deep expertise in enterprise risk frameworks and performance management.

  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex internal and external risk factors.

  • Exceptional leadership and communication skills for multi-level stakeholder engagement.
