Job Description:

We are seeking a seasoned, hands-on General Manager / Operations Manager to oversee our food production facility in Kuje, Abuja. In this pivotal role, you will be the architect of our operational strategy, responsible for balancing high-volume production output with uncompromising standards of food safety and quality. We are looking for an experienced leader with a track record in FMCG or food manufacturing who can drive efficiency, optimize production workflows, and foster a culture of safety and continuous improvement. Requirements:

• Production Scheduling: Develop and execute dynamic production schedules that align with sales demands while preventing operational bottlenecks.

• Process Optimization: Implement lean manufacturing principles to maximize yield, drastically reduce waste/shrink, and minimize unplanned equipment downtime.

• Food Safety & Compliance: Enforce rigorous hygiene protocols (e.g., HACCP, ISO 22000) at every stage—from raw material intake to final packaging—ensuring 100% pass rates for government and internal health audits.

• Financial & Budgetary Control: Manage the operational budget, control manufacturing costs, and provide accurate financial forecasting for plant activities.

• Supply Chain & Inventory: Lead coordination between procurement and logistics to maintain "just-in-time" raw material levels and mitigate supply chain disruptions.

• Team Leadership: Hire, train, and develop high-performing floor supervisors, production staff, and quality assurance teams.

• Industrial Safety (HSE): Maintain a zero-harm working environment by strictly monitoring and enforcing industrial health and safety standards.

Qualifications and Skills:

• Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Food Technology, Biochemistry, Operations Management, Engineering, or a related field.

• Experience: 5–7 years of experience in food production, FMCG, bakery, or industrial factory operations. Proven success in an SME or scale-up manufacturing environment is strongly preferred.
