Job Description:

We are seeking a high-caliber General Manager to serve as the strategic architect and operational lead of our catering firm. In the premium hospitality and event sector, success is a delicate balance of culinary excellence, logistical precision, and aggressive business development. This role is designed for a "Visionary Operator", a professional with 6–10 years of experience who can translate complex revenue targets into flawless event executions while maintaining world-class standards of food safety and financial integrity.

Your mission is to ensure "Scale, Quality, and Profitability." You will be responsible for the entire organizational lifecycle: from developing long-term growth strategies and negotiating high-value corporate deals to supervising kitchen logistics and implementing rigorous performance management systems. If you possess a "Leadership-First" mindset and the financial grit to manage million-naira budgets and complex supply chains, we want you to lead our enterprise.

Requirements:

1. Strategic Growth & Market Expansion

  • Business Architecture: Develop and implement aggressive growth strategies to capture new market segments in both corporate and private catering.

  • Revenue Engineering: Set and monitor annual revenue targets, identifying high-margin opportunities and optimizing event costing to maximize profitability.

  • Relationship Diplomacy: Build and sustain an elite portfolio of corporate clients, acting as the primary negotiator for high-value contracts and long-term partnerships.

2. Operational Excellence & Quality Control

  • Full-Spectrum Oversight: Supervise the "Live" pulse of the company, from back-of-house kitchen operations and procurement to front-of-house event execution and logistics.

  • Supply Chain Governance: Oversee vendor management and procurement strategies to ensure the highest quality of raw materials while maintaining cost-efficiency.

  • Risk & Compliance: Enforce 100% adherence to global food safety regulations (HACCP), statutory licensing, and insurance requirements to mitigate operational risks.

3. Financial Stewardship & Team Leadership

  • Fiscal Management: Prepare and manage annual budgets, monitoring cash flow, expenses, and departmental profitability with surgical precision.

  • Human Capital Engineering: Recruit, mentor, and supervise departmental heads, fostering a culture of high accountability and productivity through modern performance management systems.

  • Decision-Making Authority: Approve major expenditures and contracts, ensuring every investment aligns with the company’s long-term financial health.

 

Qualifications and Skills:

Professional Profile

  • Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration, Hospitality Management, or a related field.

  • Experience: 6 – 10 years of proven leadership experience in Catering or Event Management.

  • Financial Mastery: Strong expertise in P&L management, budgeting, and cost-benefit analysis.

  • Leadership Track Record: Proven ability to scale a business and lead multi-disciplinary teams (Kitchen, Sales, Logistics).
