Job Description:
FLEXI MFB is seeking a disciplined and resilient Field Collection Agent to join our Customer Finance & Recovery team. In this role, you will be the final touchpoint in the credit lifecycle, responsible for conducting on-site visits to users with overdue balances. You are not just a collector; you are a negotiator and a field investigator. You will balance the need for high recovery rates with the necessity of maintaining a professional brand image. The ideal candidate is someone who knows their local routes well, can navigate difficult conversations with empathy and firmness, and possesses the integrity to handle sensitive financial recovery tasks.
Requirements:
1. Field Recovery & Negotiation
On-Site Engagement: Conduct physical visits to residential or business addresses of users with overdue installments to secure immediate payments.
Debt Restructuring: Listen to repayment challenges and negotiate feasible, one-time, or structured repayment arrangements that align with company policy.
Collateral Retrieval: Follow strict standard operating procedures (SOPs) to retrieve devices or other collateral from defaulted users when repayment is no longer viable.
2. Investigation & Documentation
Verification: Confirm the accuracy of customer contact details and physical addresses, updating our internal systems in real-time.
Fraud Detection: Identify and report suspected cases of intentional fraud or identity theft to the Risk Control team.
Activity Reporting: Submit detailed daily logs of field visits, successful recoveries, and obstacles encountered to the Recovery Supervisor.
3. Compliance & Inter-Agency Liaison
Law Enforcement Coordination: Maintain professional relationships with local police authorities to support the recovery process in cases involving long-overdue or fraudulent accounts.
Internal Collaboration: Work closely with the Risk and Customer Service teams to provide feedback on borrower behavior and help refine credit scoring models.
Brand Integrity: Ensure all field operations are conducted with high ethical standards, protecting the image of the MFB and PalmPay ecosystem.
Qualifications and Skills:

Professional Experience & Education
Academic Background: OND, HND, or B.Sc. in any related field.
Industry Advantage: Prior experience in Field Collections, Debt Recovery, Microfinance, or Law Enforcement is highly preferred.
Route Familiarity: Deep knowledge of assigned local routes and a willingness to travel extensively within those locations.

Negotiation Skills: Ability to handle high-pressure interactions and de-escalate conflict while remaining focused on the recovery goal.
Self-Discipline: Highly motivated to meet and exceed monthly recovery targets with minimal supervision.
Integrity: Unquestionable ethics, particularly when handling cash-in-hand or physical assets (collateral).
Communication: Clear verbal communication and the ability to write concise, factual reports.
