Job Description:

• We are seeking an experienced and result-driven individual to oversee and manage our agricultural operations, including greenhouse farming, open-field crop production and related activities. 
• The ideal candidate will be responsible for productivity, profitability, sustainability and compliance with safety and environmental standards in all the farm operations.

Requirements:

• Plan, implement, monitor and assess all farm activities in greenhouse, open-field crops, poultry etc.
• Manage crop production life cycles, irrigation systems, pest control and fertilization schedules
• Ensure optimal use of land, water and other resources for maximum yield and efficiency.
• Supervise the day-to-day running of greenhouse facilities.
• Monitor climate control system, humidity, and lighting for optimal plant growth in greenhouse.
• Implement integrated pest management and greenhouse hygiene protocols.
• Maintain and operate farm machinery and tools efficiently and safely.
• Supervise farm workers, assign daily tasks, and provide training on agricultural best practices.
• Monitor staff performance and foster conducive and inspired work environment.
• Send regular report to management on farm performance, risks and opportunities.
• Maintain accurate records of crop performance, weather data, input usage and production outcomes.
• Ensure compliance with environmental, regulatory, and quality standards.
• Promote sustainable farming practices and explore opportunities for organic or climate-smart agriculture.
• Handle other duties as may be assigned from to time.

Qualifications and Skills:

• Bachelor`s Degree in Agriculture, Agronomy, Horticulture or related field.
• Minimum of 5 years’ experience in farm management, experience in greenhouse management will be an added advantage.
• Strong leadership and people management skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft and other farm management software.
• Physically fit and willingness to work in rural/agricultural environment.
