Job Description:

Facilities Maintenance and Operations:

  • Oversee daily facility operations, including electrical, plumbing, carpentry, and mechanical systems.
  • Develop and implement preventive maintenance schedules for buildings and equipment.
  • Ensure timely repair of all facilities-related issues to prevent service disruptions.
  • Conduct regular inspections to ensure that facilities are in good working order.

 

Health, Safety, and Environmental Compliance:

  • Ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental standards (HSE).
  • Conduct routine safety checks and risk assessments of facilities and equipment.
  • Promote and enforce safety policies and emergency procedures (e.g., fire drills, first aid readiness).
  • Coordinate waste management and ensure a clean, safe environment for all users.

 

Vendor and Contract Management:

  • Supervise external contractors and service providers for cleaning, security, pest control, maintenance, and repairs.
  • Review and negotiate service contracts, ensuring quality and cost efficiency.
  • Monitor contractor performance and ensure timely delivery of services.

 

Budgeting and Resource Management:

  • Prepare and manage the facilities budget, including expenses for maintenance, utilities, and supplies.
  • Track expenditure to ensure cost-effectiveness and adherence to financial plans.
  • Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, assets, and service contracts.

 

Infrastructure and Project Management:

  • Plan and oversee facility upgrade or renovation projects from start to completion.
  • Liaise with architects, engineers, and contractors for building and infrastructure improvements.
  • Ensure that all facility projects are delivered on time, within scope, and within budget.

 

Team Leadership and Collaboration:

  • Supervise facility staff (technicians, cleaners, security personnel) and assign duties effectively.
  • Train and motivate team members to maintain high performance and adherence to safety standards.
  • Collaborate with departments to understand their facility needs and provide timely support.
