A Print and Plastic Company is recruiting suitably qualified candidates to fill the position below:

Job Description:

• The Injection Mould Mechanic is responsible for the continuous operation, maintenance, and repair of all injection moulding machinery and auxiliary equipment.
• You will ensure that production downtime is minimized through proactive maintenance and rapid troubleshooting of mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems within the Plastic Section.

Key Responsibilities

• Machine Maintenance: Execute routine preventive and corrective maintenance on injection moulding machines (e.g., Engel, Arburg, Husky, or similar brands).
• Mould Setting & Troubleshooting: Lead the installation and removal of moulds, ensuring proper alignment, clamping, and connection of cooling systems.
• Hydraulic & Pneumatic Systems: Diagnose and repair faults in high-pressure hydraulic pumps, valves, cylinders, and pneumatic circuits.
• Process Optimization: Collaborate with production supervisors to adjust machine parameters for cycle time optimization and waste reduction.
• Equipment Repair: Repair or replace worn components such as screws, barrels, heating bands, and tie bars.
• Auxiliary Equipment Care: Maintain peripheral machinery, including chillers, material dryers, granulators, and robotic pick-and-place units.
• Safety & Compliance: Ensure all machinery operates within safety standards, including the maintenance of emergency stops and safety gates.
• Documentation: Keep detailed logs of all repairs, parts replacements, and maintenance schedules.

Requirements:

• BSc, HND, or OND qualification or related field experience.
