Job Description:
We are seeking a hands-on, highly organized, and accountable Rentals & Logistics Manager to take full ownership of the company's physical assets and delivery operations. This is not a "desk-only" role; we need a leader who takes personal pride in the physical condition, presentation, and readiness of every piece of furniture and event equipment. You will lead by example on the warehouse floor, ensuring every asset is event-ready while simultaneously orchestrating seamless logistics for our rentals subsidiary.
The ideal candidate bridges the gap between meticulous inventory management and high-pressure logistics execution, maintaining zero tolerance for delays or damaged assets.
Requirements:
Furniture & Asset Care (Core Focus)
Quality Assurance: Physically inspect all furniture and event equipment before and after every event to ensure excellent condition.
Maintenance & Restoration: Identify and document damage immediately; coordinate prompt repairs, professional cleaning, or reupholstering.
Handling Standards: Establish and enforce strict protocols for how furniture is wrapped, stacked, and transported to minimize wear and tear.
Pre-Deployment Readiness: Ensure every item is cleaned, sanitized, and perfectly presented before leaving the warehouse.
Inventory & Asset Management
Comprehensive Tracking: Maintain an up-to-date inventory of all assets, including furniture, equipment, tools, and vehicles.
Accountability Systems: Ensure proper documentation and tagging of every item; track all asset movements across various event locations.
Loss Prevention: Conduct regular audits and reconciliations to identify and resolve any losses or discrepancies.
Logistics & Operational Leadership
Dispatch & Retrieval: Plan and coordinate timely transportation, delivery, and return of rental items for all bookings with a focus on efficiency.
Team Supervision: Lead drivers, loaders, and handlers, setting clear expectations for handling standards during loading and offloading.
Fleet Management: Oversee company vehicles, including routine maintenance, fueling, and usage tracking.
Vendor Coordination: Manage relationships with external transporters, upholstery specialists, and repair vendors.
Reporting & Improvement
Performance Metrics: Provide regular reports on asset utilization, damage rates, and logistics performance.
Optimization: Implement process improvements to reduce operational costs and increase turnaround efficiency.
Qualifications and Skills:
Experience: 3–5 years of experience in logistics, operations, or asset management, preferably within the events, furniture, or hospitality sectors.
Technical Skills:
Asset Maintenance: Demonstrated hands-on experience in the care and maintenance of physical furniture or equipment.
Systems: Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and modern inventory management systems.
