Job Description:
Introduce and implement innovative ideas to enhance sustainability practices across the bank
Develop and execute strategies addressing energy efficiency, resource conservation, recycling, pollution reduction, waste elimination, sustainable transportation, and environmental education
Collaborate with internal departments to integrate sustainability initiatives into business operations
Create methodologies to evaluate the effectiveness and impact of sustainability programs and initiatives
Plan, develop, and implement sustainability campaigns to raise awareness and engagement
Prepare and present reports on sustainable banking progress and key performance metrics to stakeholders
Support the planning and coordination of Sustainable Banking Governance Committee meetings
Requirements:
- Global Sustainability Issues.
- Environmental Management Systems.
- Nigerian Sustainable Banking Principles and their applicability.
- Equator Principles
- IFC Performance Standards
- Basic credit risk management.
- Risk management process.
Qualifications and Skills:
- Minimum educational level – First Degree in Environmental/Business-related field and a second University degree or professional qualification (in a Sustainability or environmental related studies will be an added advantage)
- 1 to 3 years of work experience in similar role.
