Job Description:
This is a full-time on-site role for an ESG Associate, located in Lagos.
The ESG Associate will be responsible for developing and implementing environmental, social, and governance strategies and initiatives.
Day-to-day tasks include conducting research, creating reports, engaging with stakeholders, monitoring compliance with relevant regulations, and supporting the ESG team in various projects.

- Strong analytical and research skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively across departments.
- Good understanding of environmental, social, and governance issues in emerging markets.
- High attention to detail and commitment to compliance and reporting standards.
- Strong organizational and project management abilities.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and ESG reporting tools.
Qualifications and Skills:
Education:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Environmental Science, Sustainability, Social Sciences, Engineering, Finance, or related discipline.
- A Master’s degree or professional certification (e.g., GRI, SASB, CFA ESG, ISO 14001 Lead Auditor) is an added advantage.
Experience:
- 5–7 years of relevant experience in ESG, sustainability, corporate responsibility, or environmental management (preferably within infrastructure, transport, or energy sectors).
- Experience in ESG reporting, data collection, and stakeholder engagement.
- Exposure to ISO 14001 or similar environmental management systems.
- Familiarity with international ESG frameworks (GRI, SASB, TCFD, IFC Performance Standards, UN SDGs).
