Job Description:

We are seeking a high-performing Engineering Supervisor to join our Supply Chain function in Oregun. In this role, you will lead a team of engineers and technicians, ensuring operational excellence across our packing and process lines. You will act as a strategic bridge between high-level project design and shop-floor execution, utilizing advanced diagnostic tools to minimize downtime and optimize utility systems.

The ideal candidate possesses an "owner’s mindset," combining deep technical expertise in utilities with a passion for mentorship and a relentless drive for continuous improvement.

Requirements:

Team Leadership & Development

  • Supervision: Mentor and evaluate a team of engineers and technicians, fostering a culture of accountability and innovation.

  • Workload Management: Assign tasks, monitor progress, and ensure the timely completion of utility-focused projects.

Project & Operations Management

  • Project Lifecycle: Plan and oversee engineering projects from design to final execution, ensuring strict adherence to budgets and timelines.

  • Technical Review: Analyze technical drawings, specifications, and engineering reports to ensure quality standards.

  • Efficiency Optimization: Shadow as Line Focus Engineering to deliver peak efficiency across production lines; lead detailed RCA (Root Cause Analysis) and EWO (Emergency Work Orders) to reduce MTTR and crash BD.

Technical Oversight & Utilities

  • Subject Matter Expertise: Provide guidance on engineering methods, specifically regarding power distribution, HVAC, boilers, chillers, and water treatment.

  • Troubleshooting: Implement effective solutions for complex technical issues while ensuring compliance with industry codes and regulations.

  • Agility: Stay updated with emerging technologies and industry trends to identify opportunities for process optimization.

Safety & Compliance

  • Risk Management: Enforce workplace safety policies, conduct rigorous risk assessments, and implement corrective actions.

  • Regulatory Adherence: Ensure all engineering and utility processes comply with environmental and safety standards.

Qualifications and Skills:

Education & Experience

  • Degree: HND or Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or Mechatronics Engineering.

  • Experience: 5–8 years of engineering experience, with a minimum of 2 years in a supervisory or leadership role.

  • Sector Knowledge: Familiarity with safety, environmental, and regulatory standards within a manufacturing environment.

Technical & Professional Skills

  • Software: Proficiency in CAD software, project management tools, and MS Office.

  • Utility Systems: In-depth knowledge of power distribution, HVAC, boilers, chillers, and water treatment systems.

  • Methodologies: Strong understanding of engineering principles, including lean manufacturing and efficiency initiatives.
