Job Description:
We are seeking a highly experienced Materials Lead to spearhead the management and coordination of materials, equipment, and components across our project sites. This is a critical leadership role responsible for ensuring that the flow of resources aligns perfectly with project priorities, delivery schedules, and operational requirements.
As the Materials Lead, you will be the primary authority on materials management processes. You will oversee accurate tracking, strategic storage, and the seamless movement of assets across departments and sites. Requirements:
Inventory & Data Management
Record Integrity: Oversee and maintain meticulous records of material inventory, including delivery, shipping, storage, and real-time location status.
Systems Proficiency: Utilize advanced SAP material catalogs and search tools to ensure data accuracy and transparency across the organization.
Logistics & Operational Coordination
Movement Control: Monitor and coordinate the fluid movement of materials between various departments and project sites to prevent bottlenecks.
Maintenance & Assembly: Ensure all necessary arrangements are made for the repair or assembly of company-provided materials and equipment.
Prioritization: Supervise material handling processes to ensure they remain strictly aligned with project timelines and shifting priorities.
Stakeholder Support & Compliance
Project Liaison: Act as a strategic partner to Project and Site Managers, providing expert support for all materials-related requirements.
Quality Assurance: Ensure all materials and handling processes comply with internal quality control procedures and industry standards.
Stakeholder Influence: Collaborate effectively across multi-disciplinary teams and influence stakeholders to ensure materials management remains a top priority.
Qualifications and Skills:
Education: Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in a relevant field (Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Engineering, or Business Administration).
Experience:
Proven track record in materials management, with a strong preference for experience within the Oil & Gas industry.
Deep understanding of plant operations and practical material usage.
Technical Expertise:
Extensive experience with SAP material catalogs and search tools.
Strong knowledge of industrial equipment and materials identification.
Proficiency in quality control systems and procedures.
Software Skills: Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office tools (Word, Excel, Outlook, and Access).
Core Competencies:
Problem-Solving: Strong organizational and analytical skills to resolve complex logistical challenges.
Communication: Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Time Management: Ability to manage high-pressure deadlines and coordinate multiple project streams simultaneously.
