Job Description:
We are seeking a visionary and technically rigorous Engineering Manager to lead our technical operations in Ikeja. You will be the architect of our product development roadmap, responsible for fostering a high-performance engineering culture, driving innovation, and ensuring technical excellence across all projects. We are looking for a leader who can balance complex R&D initiatives with effective team management, ensuring that every design and process meets our stringent standards for quality. Requirements:
R&D Leadership: Drive research and development projects that result in innovative designs, products, and optimized manufacturing/operational processes.
Talent Development: Identify skill gaps and implement training programs to upskill our engineering staff.
Team Building: Strategically hire and assemble top-tier engineering talent and contractors to meet project demands.
Strategic Alignment: Secure stakeholder buy-in by ensuring all engineering outputs align with upper management’s business objectives and long-term vision.
Operational Oversight: Provide clear, concise, and actionable instructions to engineering teams, ensuring project milestones are met with precision.
Technical Quality Assurance: Conduct rigorous reviews of the team’s work, ensuring absolute technical accuracy and preventing costly errors.
Cross-Functional Coordination: Collaborate with other department managers and cross-functional teams to streamline workflows and project delivery.
Qualifications and Skills:
Training/Certifications: Relevant advanced training and professional certifications as an Engineering Manager.
Analytical & Math Skills: Expert ability to evaluate technical information, solve complex problems, and apply advanced mathematics (including calculus) to real-world engineering challenges.
Leadership & Communication: Exceptional ability to oversee staff, communicate complex technical requirements clearly, and collaborate effectively with executive management.
Detail Orientation: An uncompromising eye for detail; the ability to identify minor technical errors before they escalate into major systemic failures
