Job Description:

We are seeking a technically proficient and safety-conscious Electrical Technician to anchor the manufacturing operations at Vitafoam Nigeria Plc. In a high-volume production facility, success is defined by "Uptime Reliability", the ability to prevent electrical failures through rigorous maintenance and to restore power rapidly when breakdowns occur. This role is designed for a "Diagnostic Specialist" with at least 5 years of practical experience who can blend "Industrial Automation Knowledge" with the "Technical Grit" required to maintain complex production machinery and power distribution systems.

Your mission is to ensure "Continuous Power Availability and Flawless Machinery Operation." You will be a key player on the factory floor: responsible for preventive maintenance, diagnosing complex faults in control panels, and implementing root-cause solutions to eliminate recurring downtime. If you possess "Troubleshooting Mastery," an OND in Electrical Engineering, and a deep commitment to industrial safety, we want you to drive our operational excellence.

Requirements:

1. Preventive & Corrective Maintenance Governance

• Machine Integrity: Execute rigorous preventive maintenance schedules on all electrical components and production machinery to forestall unexpected failures.

• Rapid Response: Provide immediate corrective maintenance and repair of faulty components to minimize production downtime during critical shifts.

• Component Stewardship: Systematically replace worn or faulty parts, ensuring all installations meet Vitafoam’s high-fidelity safety and performance standards.

2. Systems Diagnosis & Power Management

• Fault Diagnostics: Utilize advanced troubleshooting techniques to identify and resolve complex electrical faults in plant equipment and production machinery.

• Grid & Power Monitoring: Oversee the stability of power supply systems, including industrial generators, distribution boards, and electrical control panels.

• Root Cause Intelligence: Conduct technical investigations into electrical failures, implementing long-term corrective actions rather than temporary fixes.

3. Operational Synergy & Safety Compliance

• Multidisciplinary Collaboration: Work in lockstep with mechanical technicians and production engineers to ensure the holistic health of the plant.

• Safety Stewardship: Conduct routine inspections of all electrical installations, ensuring 100% compliance with industrial safety regulations and fire prevention standards.

• Technical Documentation: Maintain accurate logs of maintenance activities, parts replacement, and system performance to support data-driven management decisions.

Qualifications and Skills:

Professional Profile

• Education: OND or Diploma in Electrical Engineering or a related technical discipline.

• Experience: Minimum of 5 years of practical experience as an Electrical Technician specifically within a manufacturing environment.

• Skill Set: Proficiency in industrial equipment maintenance, preventive maintenance planning, and technical reporting.
