Job Description:

We are seeking a technically proficient and experienced Electrical Automation Engineer to join our team in Lekki. In this role, you will be responsible for designing, programming, and maintaining automated systems that improve our operational efficiency. We are looking for an engineer who possesses a deep understanding of electrical systems, PLC programming, and industrial automation technologies to help drive our technical performance to the next level.

Requirements:

• System Design & Implementation: Design, install, and commission electrical and automation control systems.

• Programming & Maintenance: Program and troubleshoot PLCs (Programmable Logic Controllers), HMIs, and SCADA systems to ensure seamless operations.

• Operational Support: Diagnose and resolve electrical faults, perform preventative maintenance on automated equipment, and provide technical support to minimize downtime.

• System Upgrades: Evaluate existing automation systems and implement upgrades or modifications to enhance productivity and safety.

• Technical Documentation: Maintain accurate records of system configurations, wiring diagrams, and maintenance logs.

• Safety Compliance: Ensure all electrical work complies with industrial safety standards and local electrical codes.

Qualifications and Skills:

• Education: A relevant BA, BSc, or HND in Electrical/Electronic Engineering, Automation Engineering, or a related field.

• Experience: Proven experience in the field of electrical automation, preferably within an industrial or manufacturing setting.

• Technical Skills:

  • Strong proficiency in PLC programming (e.g., Siemens, Allen-Bradley, Schneider) and HMI/SCADA systems.

  • Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics, logic diagrams, and technical manuals.

  • Solid understanding of motor control systems, sensors, and instrumentation.

• Soft Skills:

  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.

  • A proactive approach to identifying and mitigating technical risks.

  • Strong communication skills, with the ability to work effectively in a technical team environment.
