Job Description:
We are seeking a proactive and technically curious IT Support Intern to serve as a vital engine of our digital operations. In a modern workplace, the IT team does not just "fix computers"—they enable productivity and secure the organization’s digital assets. This role is designed for a "Systems Generalist"—a student or fresh graduate who can balance the hardware demands of an office with the cloud complexities of Google Workspace and Microsoft 365.
Your mission is to ensure 100% uptime for our staff and infrastructure. You will be responsible for the entire technical lifecycle: from running routine system updates and managing office connectivity to designing cost-effective software solutions and onboarding new team members. Requirements:
1. Infrastructure & Cloud Governance
Network Stewardship: Manage office internet connectivity, monitoring for downtime and serving as the primary liaison for service providers to ensure consistent speed and reliability.
SaaS Administration: Take ownership of the Google Workspace and Microsoft 365 portals, accurately managing user provisioning (adding, updating, and removing users) to maintain security.
Asset Maintenance: Work alongside vendors for the repair of hardware assets and ensure all company IT infrastructures undergo routine updates and maintenance.
2. Software Integration & Technical Writing
SOP Architecture: For every new tool or system deployed, you will develop a Standard Operating Procedure (SOP) to ensure organizational knowledge is preserved and accessible.
Productivity Research: Identify, install, and manage software tools that boost staff performance, followed by clear presentations to educate the team on best practices.
Custom Solutions: Design and implement cost-effective software solutions that solve specific internal organizational bottlenecks.
3. Server Monitoring & Project Support
Web Security: Monitor company web services and servers, identifying downtime and applying solutions to mitigate web server exploits.
External Deployment: Support the setup and maintenance of software and hardware used at third-party locations for clients and stakeholders, ensuring our external projects run smoothly.
Onboarding & Troubleshooting: Lead the technical setup for new hires and provide rapid-response troubleshooting for any hardware or software challenges faced by staff.
Qualifications and Skills:
Professional Profile
Education: Degree in Computer Science, Information Science, Mathematics, or a closely related field.
Technical Depth: Sound knowledge of application troubleshooting and web server security/exploits.
Process Mindset: Highly organized with an ability to document technical processes into clear, readable SOPs.
Core Competencies
Pragmatic Problem Solving: Ability to act quickly under pressure to prioritize and resolve critical system issues.
Communication: Strong interpersonal skills to explain technical concepts to non-technical staff members.
