Job Description:

• The Delivery Driver is responsible for providing safe, reliable, and professional transportation for company deliveries, ensuring products reach customers in a timely and courteous manner, and maintaining the company vehicle in excellent working condition.

Key Responsibilities

• Transport and deliver a wide variety of items to different addresses following assigned routes and time schedules.
• Safely drive and operate the delivery vehicle at all times, adhering to all traffic laws and safety standards.
• Load, organize, secure, and unload cargo from the vehicle to prevent damage during transit.
• Plan delivery routes to optimize time and fuel efficiency, utilizing navigation tools and route planning applications.
• Conduct daily pre-trip vehicle checks (fuel, oil, tyre pressure, lights) and log the findings every working day.
• Report vehicle faults, accidents, or maintenance needs immediately to the appropriate supervisor.
• Maintain a detailed vehicle usage log (mileage, destination, and purpose) for every trip.
• Collect payments, signatures, or necessary documentation upon delivery.
• Provide courteous and professional customer service during all interactions.
• Maintain the company vehicle in a clean and organized condition internally and externally at all times.

Requirements:

• High school diploma or equivalent (SSCE).
• Valid Nigeria driver's license.
• Minimum 2 years of professional driving experience is preferred.
• Clean driving record with no major traffic violations.
• Thorough knowledge of the Lagos road network, especially the Ebute Metta and Ikorodu areas.
• Ability to lift and carry packages up to 50 lbs (approximately 23 kg) comfortably.
• Familiarity with using GPS or smartphone applications for routing information.
• Strong time management, organizational, and communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and under varying weather conditions.
