Job Description:

Data Management:

• Collect, preprocess, and clean civic and project datasets.
• Ensure data integrity for analysis and publications.
• Tools: Python (Pandas, NumPy), Excel, Google Sheets, SQL.

Analysis & Visualization:

• Perform Exploratory Data Analysis (EDA) on national reports.
• Identify patterns, trends, and key insights.
• Create compelling data visualizations.
• Present data-driven findings.
• Tools: Power BI, Python (Matplotlib, Seaborn, Plotly).

Research & Reporting:

• Assist with literature reviews.
• Contribute to data-driven reports and policy insights.
• Support policy recommendations and stakeholder engagement.
• Tools: Google, Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).

Tool Development (Optional but Valued):

• Contribute to building or enhancing data tools.
• Document development processes.
• Tools: Python (Flask, Streamlit), SQL, Power Apps, GitHub.

Stakeholder Collaboration:

• Support team presentations and workshops.
• Assist with external reporting.
• Tools: Microsoft PowerPoint, Canva, Google Slides, Slack.

Continuous Learning:

• Stay updated on data science and civic tech trends.
• Propose innovative data solutions.
• Effectively use AI for enhanced productivity (e.g., ChatGPT).
• Resources: Coursera, Kaggle, DataCamp, YouTube, industry blogs.

Requirements:

• Strong analytical and statistical abilities.
• Proficiency in data science and data analytics.
• Excellent problem-solving skills.
• Clear communication and collaboration abilities.
• Basic programming knowledge (Python or R preferred).
• Tool Proficiency: Familiarity with the tools listed under Key Responsibilities.

Qualifications and Skills:

• Pursuing a Degree in Data Science, Statistics, Computer Science, or a related field.
• We seek an individual with 1-2 years of relevant experience.
