Job Description:
- Develop, implement, and maintain data protection policies and procedures.
- Ensure compliance with the Nigeria Data Protection Regulation (NDPR) and other global data privacy laws.
- Conduct regular audits, risk assessments, and privacy impact assessments (PIAs).
- Advise management and employees on data protection obligations and best practices.
- Serve as the primary contact for data protection authorities and regulatory bodies.
- Oversee the response to data subject access requests (DSARS) and data breach incidents.
- Collaborate with IT, Legal, and HR teams to integrate privacy by design into systems and workflows.
- Deliver staff training on data protection awareness and compliance.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's Degree in Law, Information Security, Computer Science, or a related field.
- Minimum of 4 - 6 years' experience in data protection, privacy compliance, or information governance.
- Strong knowledge of NDPR, GDPR, and international data privacy standards.
- Professional certification such as NDPR Practitioner, CIPP/E, CIPM, or ISO 27001 is an advantage.
- Excellent analytical, communication, and stakeholder engagement skills.
