Job Description:

  • Collaborate with the Group Cybersecurity team to support enterprise-wide cybersecurity initiatives.

  • Design and implement security controls to safeguard information systems, enterprise applications, and critical data.

  • Assist in the execution of information security projects and ensure alignment with organizational objectives.

  • Continuously optimize and upgrade existing security solutions such as SIEM, vulnerability management, data security, and security analytics tools.

  • Lead vulnerability assessments and penetration testing engagements, managing findings through remediation.

  • Respond to escalated security incidents, driving incident response processes to ensure quick resolution with minimal business disruption.

  • Design, document, and deploy secure infrastructure solutions to strengthen the organization’s security posture and ensure data confidentiality, integrity, and availability.

  • Support annual Red Team and Blue Team exercises to assess and enhance enterprise security readiness.

  • Provide subject-matter expertise on security tools, including firewalls, web application firewalls, IDS/IPS, and anti-malware solutions.

  • Liaise with stakeholders to ensure effective implementation of security policies and best practices.

  • Partner with the Client Server Team to align technical plans with security requirements, ensuring sustainable controls and minimal risk to servers, workstations, and user productivity.

  • Configure and implement processes for continuous monitoring of security events across the enterprise.

  • Research and deploy emerging security technologies to prevent data loss and service interruptions.

  • Maintain and update documentation of all information security processes and systems.

  • Support Business Risk Management with security-related investigations.

  • Develop and implement corrective actions to mitigate exposure to cybersecurity threats.

  • Drive incident response and coordinate remediation efforts with support teams to address vulnerabilities in enterprise systems and applications.

  • Promote knowledge sharing and best practices within the cybersecurity unit and across the organization.

Requirements:

  • 3–7 years of professional experience in information security, with hands-on specialization and collaborative work exposure.

  • Proven experience working in large organizations, preferably within the telecommunications industry.

  • Strong background as an engineer or architect in application security, infrastructure security, and network technologies.

  • Practical expertise with firewalls, VPNs, intrusion/extrusion detection, vulnerability and risk assessment tools, encryption technologies, malware prevention, e-business and web application security, data loss prevention, disk and device encryption, and two-factor authentication.

  • Solid experience with Microsoft, Solaris, Unix, Oracle, and MS SQL platforms.

  • Direct involvement in managing network and network security operations.

  • Experience handling security incident and event management processes.

  • Skilled in researching and adopting emerging technologies and processes to address evolving security challenges.

Qualifications and Skills:

Education

  • Minimum of a first degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology/Systems, or a related discipline.

  • A postgraduate degree in IT, Engineering, or a related field is an added advantage.

 

Certifications

  • Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP) is required.

  • Additional cybersecurity-related certifications (e.g., CISM, CEH, CompTIA Security+, ISO 27001 Lead Implementer) are desirable.
