To meet the growing demand of Nigeria’s Market, Stockgap Fuels Limited is expanding its LPG business by investing on additional storage and cylinder filling facility in 4 strategic locations spanning major regions of the country - Lagos/South-West, South-South/South-East, North-Central/North-West and North-East regions respectively. 

Job Description:

We are seeking a vigilant, proactive, and technically skilled Cybersecurity Officer to serve as the guardian of our organization’s digital assets. In an increasingly complex threat landscape, your mission will be to protect our networks, enterprise applications, and data from cyber threats.

You will play a critical role in threat detection, prevention, and incident response. From securing our cloud platforms and ERP systems to safeguarding our logistics and depot infrastructure, you will ensure that our digital ecosystem remains resilient, compliant, and secure. Requirements:

Threat Detection & Incident Response

• Security Monitoring: Monitor networks, systems, and applications 24/7 to identify potential security threats.

• Vulnerability Management: Conduct regular vulnerability assessments and penetration testing to identify weaknesses before attackers do.

• Remediation: Track and manage the remediation of identified risks, ensuring timely patching of all systems and applications.

• Incident Handling: Lead the response to cybersecurity incidents, including malware, phishing attacks, and potential breaches.

Security Engineering & Architecture

• Tool Management: Implement and manage critical security tools, including firewalls, IDS/IPS, and EDR/XDR endpoint protection.

• Infrastructure Security: Ensure secure configurations for all systems. Support the secure design and integration of new enterprise systems.

• Cloud & Network Security: Manage security across cloud platforms (Azure/AWS) and secure network infrastructure (VPNs, segmentation).

Data Protection & Compliance

• Access Control: Enforce strict access control policies, including least privilege and role-based access management.

• Data Integrity: Implement data encryption (at rest and in transit) and Data Loss Prevention (DLP) strategies.

• Disaster Recovery: Manage the security aspects of backups and disaster recovery protocols.

• Compliance: Ensure all activities align with industry security standards and regulatory requirements.

Security Culture & Awareness

• Education: Act as a security advocate, educating staff on best practices.

• Testing: Conduct regular phishing simulations and security awareness campaigns to maintain a strong human firewall.

Qualifications and Skills:

• Education: Bachelor’s degree in Cybersecurity, Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field.

• Experience: 3–5+ years of hands-on experience in cybersecurity or information security roles.

• Technical Proficiency:

  • Security Tools: Experience with SIEM tools (e.g., Splunk, Microsoft Sentinel), firewalls, IDS/IPS, and Endpoint security (EDR/XDR).

  • Cloud & Network: Demonstrated experience in Cloud security (Azure/AWS) and network security.

• Certifications (Preferred): Professional certifications such as CISM or CISA.

• Core Competencies:

  • Domain Expertise: Experience protecting operational systems, specifically depot systems, logistics platforms, and ERP platforms (e.g., Microsoft Dynamics).

  • Analytical Thinking: Strong problem-solving skills with an uncompromising attention to detail and quality.

  • Collaboration: Ability to work effectively as an independent contributor or within a team, with excellent stakeholder management skills.

  • Communication: Ability to explain complex security concepts to non-technical staff and leadership.
