Job Description:

• Loan Processing: Review and process loan requests, ensuring all applications meet company standards and regulatory requirements.

• Financial Assessment: Evaluate clients’ financial status, credit history, and risk ratios to determine eligibility.

• Risk Analysis: Analyze financial data to approve or reject loan requests based on established credit policies.

• Client Engagement: Contact clients to gather necessary financial documentation and maintain strong professional relationships.

• Portfolio Management: Set up manageable payment plans, monitor the progress of existing loans, and follow up on loan renewals.

• Repayment Collection: Conduct daily and weekly repayment collections to ensure a healthy and performing loan portfolio.

• Record Keeping: Maintain accurate, up-to-date records of all loan applications and client interactions.

Requirements:

• Integrity: High level of honesty in handling financial transactions and client data.

• Resilience: Ability to meet collection targets and manage field-based tasks efficiently.

• Organization: Meticulous attention to detail in documentation and file management.

Qualifications and Skills:

• Education: NCE, OND, HND, or BSc in Banking and Finance, Economics, or a related field.

• Experience: Proven work experience as a Credit Officer, Loan Officer, or in a similar financial services role.

• Technical Skills: Hands-on experience with lending procedures and the ability to manage financial data in spreadsheets (MS Excel).

• Analytical Skills: Strong ability to evaluate risk and interpret financial information.

• Interpersonal Skills: Excellent communication and customer service experience; ability to handle collection conversations with firmness and professionalism.

• Local Knowledge: Familiarity with the Awka business environment and the specified target areas.
