Job Description:

We are seeking a high-velocity and structurally elite Level I Senior Associate to anchor the Corporate Commercial engine of our firm in Lekki, Lagos. In a specialized legal landscape where institutional momentum is dictated by the speed of the regulatory-relay and the precision of the contractual-filter success is defined by "Legal Sovereignty" the ability to harmonize comprehensive Company Secretarial services with the clinical precision required for M&A, Foreign Investment Advisory, and Corporate Governance Architecture. This role is designed for a "Jurisprudential Architect" specifically a veteran professional with 5 to 8 years of experience who can blend "Commercial Grit" (negotiating complex joint ventures and restructurings) with the "Technical Agility" required to execute AI-Assisted Document Drafting and Regulatory Engagement.

Requirements:

1. Orchestration & Governance Oversight

• Sovereignty of the Board: Deliver elite company secretarial support and governance frameworks, acting as the primary "Source of Boardroom Integrity."

• Compliance Architecture: Prepare and file high-fidelity corporate documents and annual returns, providing the "Structural Foundation" for statutory fidelity.

• Integrity Stewardship: Maintain statutory books and registers with absolute precision, ensuring the "Source of Corporate Records" is elite and uncompromised.

2. Tactical Resilience & Transactional Logic

• Commercial Sovereignty: Draft, review, and negotiate a wide range of commercial agreements (M&A, Restructuring, JV), acting as the primary "Source of Deal Velocity."

• Due Diligence Architecture: Supervise and conduct rigorous legal due diligence and prepare closing deliverables, providing the "Functional Foundation" for risk mitigation.

• Advisory Stewardship: Provide proactive guidance on directors' duties and fiduciary obligations, maintaining the "Source of Regulatory Insight."

3. Operational Integrity & Leadership Power

• Mentorship Sovereignty: Supervise and develop junior associates and trainees, acting as the primary "Source of Team Excellence."

Qualifications and Skills:

Professional Profile

• Education: Bachelor of Laws (LL.B) and Call to the Nigerian Bar (BL) are mandatory. LLM is an added advantage.

• Experience: 5 – 8 years of post-call experience in corporate/commercial law within a top-tier firm.

• Technical Power: Mastery of Microsoft Office, legal research platforms, and emerging AI document review tools.

• Certification: Membership in ICSAN (Chartered Secretaries) is a distinct advantage.

• Expertise: Proven track record in M&A, foreign investment, and complex commercial negotiations.
