Job Description:

We are seeking a high-caliber Cloud Infrastructure Engineer to architect and manage the digital backbone of our organization. In this role, you will be responsible for designing resilient, secure, and cost-effective cloud ecosystems across AWS, Azure, or GCP. You will move beyond manual configuration, utilizing Terraform and Kubernetes to treat infrastructure as code and ensure our applications scale seamlessly. Reporting to the Head of Systems Control, you will sit at the intersection of development and operations, ensuring that our cloud resources are not only high-performing but also fortified against emerging security threats.

Requirements:

1. Cloud Architecture & Infrastructure-as-Code (IaC)

• Architectural Design: Build scalable cloud environments that balance technical performance with cost-optimization and security.

• Terraform Mastery: Develop and manage configuration files and state files using Terraform modules to ensure reusable, consistent deployments across multiple environments.

• Resource Management: Collaborate with IT teams to provision and manage virtual machines (EC2), high-speed networking (VPC), and elastic storage (S3).

2. Containerization & Orchestration

• Kubernetes Governance: Lead the orchestration of containerized applications, managing cluster deployment, scaling, and automated self-healing.

• Docker Ecosystem: Manage the full container lifecycle, from writing efficient Dockerfiles to managing images within registries like Docker Hub or ECR.

• CI/CD Integration: Leverage Jenkins to build automated pipelines that enable continuous integration and reliable code delivery to cloud environments.

3. Security Operations & Database Management

• Hardened Security: Implement IAM policies, encryption at rest/transit, and firewalls to ensure compliance with strict Information Security standards.

• Vulnerability Management: Conduct regular security assessments and automated vulnerability testing to mitigate infrastructure risks.

• Database Oversight: Manage both Relational (RDS, Azure SQL) and NoSQL (DynamoDB, CosmosDB) databases, ensuring high availability and data integrity.

Qualifications and Skills:

Technical Toolkit

• Cloud Platforms: Expert knowledge of AWS (EC2, S3, RDS, VPC), Azure, or GCP.

• Orchestration & Tools: Proficiency in Kubernetes, Docker, Terraform, and Jenkins.

• Scripting: Advanced skills in Python, Bash, or PowerShell for automation.

• Databases: Expert-level management of cloud-native SQL and NoSQL databases.

Professional Background

• Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or a related field.

• Experience: Minimum of 5 years as a System Administrator, Cloud Engineer, or DevOps Engineer within a security operations environment.

• Certifications: AWS Certified Solutions Architect, Google Professional Cloud Architect, or Azure Solutions Architect Expert (highly required).
