Job Description:
- To help management to track Capex investment analysis, reporting and expenditure control, budget performance and make sound decisions around capital allocation and use of funds.
Core Responsibilities and Key Result Areas
CAPEX Analysis
- Provide full visibility of approved annual CAPEX budgets, including project scope and allocated funds.
- Maintain an up-to-date CAPEX tracker for all ongoing and completed projects.
- Monitor projects from approval through execution to final capitalization, ensuring adherence to timelines and budgets.
- Validate expenditures against approved amounts and promptly flag variances.
- Raise exceptions for delays and implement corrective actions to mitigate risks.
- Analyse post-implementation data to assess whether CAPEX investments deliver expected benefits.
- Conduct project appraisals on expansion plans and efficiency initiatives to assess viability.
- Recommend cost-saving initiatives and process improvements to enhance CAPEX efficiency.
- Supervises, motivates and leads teams by identifying roles and providing guidance on service output and quality.
- Ensure effective and efficient use of resources,
- Timely provision of audit requirements (external and internal)
Financial Reporting:
- Review advance reports and escalate delays in retiring capex advances addressing root causes Identify and report gaps where cash advances are issued without timely retirement or invoice submission.
- Summarize project status, spending trends, delays, risks, and completion levels for management insights
- Track timelines for project executions and commitment to expense budget.
- Track KPIs such as energy efficiency, cost reductions, and maintenance savings.
- Provide insight and guidance with contemporary Accounting and reporting issues.
Key Performance Indicators:
- Achievement of Company Sales, EBITDA, GP, PAT targets
- Achievement of prompt budget and forecast preparation
- Achievement of Individual Personal Development Plans
Requirements:
- Demonstrates good research, quantitative, and analytical skills
- Excellent attention to detail
- Presentation and Excel Skills
- Develop insightful presentations and slides with data.
- Exceptional financial modelling and scenario analysis skills, with an expert understanding of Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint
- Competent in financial software applications
- Highest standards of accuracy and precision; highly organized
- Demonstrates commercial and economic awareness, including an awareness of global economic factors that can influence the Food & Beverage and QSR industry
- Ability to think creatively, highly driven and self-motivated
- Knowledge of written and verbal communication skills
Qualifications and Skills:
Educational Requirements:
- B.Sc./HND Accounting or Finance
Professional Requirements:
- Progress in in ACCA, ICAN, or any other related professional certification
Experience Requirements:
- 5 years’ experience in Accounting and Finance with focus on financial reconciliations.
- Experience in a QSR company in a similar role is an asset
