Job Description:

• Strategic Leadership: Provide visionary direction to the team to achieve aggressive targets in deposit growth, fee income, and risk asset creation.

• Public Sector Business Development: Identify and capture new opportunities within government segments to expand the bank’s market share.

• Stakeholder Management: Build and sustain critical relationships with key figures, including Accountants General, Commissioners of Finance, and Heads of MDAs.

• Team Management & Coaching: Motivate and develop team members through consistent feedback, performance reviews, and skill-building to ensure a high-performance culture.

• Operational Excellence: Coordinate with internal departments to ensure seamless service delivery and financial solutions within approved Turnaround Times (TAT).

• Budgeting & KPI Tracking: Oversee the team’s budget, marketing spend, and CAPEX requirements while ensuring rigorous KPI monitoring.

• Risk & Compliance: Maintain 100% regulatory compliance and ensure zero Non-Performing Loans (NPLs) through proactive risk mitigation and credit monitoring.

• Information Security: Comply with the bank’s Information Security principles to protect all sensitive data and institutional integrity.

Requirements:

• Years of Experience: Minimum of 10 years of relevant banking experience specifically in Marketing and Business Development.

• Industry Focus: Significant and proven exposure to Public Sector customers and high-level government stakeholders is mandatory.pleas

Qualifications and Skills:

• Education: Minimum of a First Degree from a recognized institution. A Master’s degree or relevant professional certifications (e.g., CIBN) are highly preferred.

• Public Sector Expertise: Strong understanding of the Nigerian public sector landscape, government structures, and public finance.

• Technical Skills: Mastery of business development, financial modeling, and credit analysis within a banking environment.
