Job Description:

We are seeking a results-oriented Business Development Officer to spearhead our growth in the renewable energy sector. In this role, you will be the primary driver of our expansion, responsible for selling high-capacity solar and energy storage solutions. Your focus will be on building strategic, high-value partnerships with EPC (Engineering, Procurement, and Construction) firms, nationwide distributors, and corporate clients. The ideal candidate is a proactive deal-closer who can translate technical energy benefits into compelling financial returns for partners. Requirements:

1. Strategic Market Expansion

  • Portfolio Growth: Drive the adoption of our solar and energy storage solutions across commercial and industrial sectors.

  • Channel Development: Identify and onboard high-performing distributors and EPC partners to create a robust indirect sales network.

  • Lead Generation: Execute targeted outreach to corporate clients, positioning our solutions as a cost-saving and reliable alternative to traditional power.

2. Relationship Management & Sales Execution

  • Partner Stewardship: Build and maintain deep-rooted relationships with EPCs and distributors, providing them with the support needed to win large-scale projects.

  • Proposal Engineering: Develop tailored technical and commercial proposals that address specific client energy profiles and ROI requirements.

  • Negotiation & Closing: Lead high-stakes negotiations to secure favorable contract terms and consistently achieve or exceed revenue quotas.

3. Market Intelligence & Compliance

  • Trend Analysis: Monitor emerging solar technologies, lithium-ion battery trends, and shifts in the energy storage landscape.

  • Regulatory Monitoring: Stay ahead of changes in national energy policies and regulatory frameworks that impact solar adoption.

  • Competitor Tracking: Provide internal feedback on competitor pricing and product strategies to help refine our market positioning.

Qualifications and Skills:

Education & Background

  • Academic Background: HND / B.Sc. in Business, Marketing, Economics, or a related field.

  • Experience: 2–4 years of experience in business development or sales.

  • Sector Preference: Proven experience within the Solar or Renewable Energy industry is highly preferred.

Core Competencies

  • Consultative Sales: Ability to sell solutions rather than just products, focusing on energy savings and long-term sustainability.

  • Negotiation: Exceptional skills in closing complex B2B deals with multiple stakeholders.

  • Communication: Confident in delivering technical presentations to C-suite executives and engineering partners.

  • Proactive Mindset: Goal-driven with the ability to navigate a fast-paced environment with minimal supervision.
