Job Description:

The Business Development Manager will drive the company’s revenue generation by securing partnerships, sponsorships, grants, and ticket sales. You will be responsible for building and maintaining relationships with sponsors, donors, educational institutions, and corporate partners, as well as identifying new opportunities for financial growth.

 

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute a comprehensive fundraising and sales strategy for productions, academy programmes, and other projects.

  • Identify, approach, and close deals with corporate sponsors, grant-making bodies, and institutional partners.

  • Secure long-term funding through sponsorships, donations, and business collaborations.

  • Research and apply for relevant grants and funding opportunities (local and international).

  • Build and maintain a network of stakeholders in the arts, education, and corporate sectors.

  • Collaborate with the marketing team to create compelling sponsorship packages and pitch decks.

  • Track fundraising targets and report progress to the board.

  • Represent the company at events, networking opportunities, and industry gatherings.

Requirements:

  • Proven track record of meeting or exceeding revenue targets.

  • Strong negotiation and deal-closing skills.

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

  • Ability to work independently and as part of a small, creative team.

  • Existing network of potential sponsors, donors, and partners.

Qualifications and Skills:

  • Certification or degree in Business, Marketing, Communications, or related field is a plus.

  • Experience in fundraising, business development, or sales, preferably in arts, culture, education, or nonprofit sectors.
