Job Description:

We are seeking a high-velocity, results-driven Business Development Manager to lead our market expansion and bid management function. This is a mission-critical role designed for a "closer" who thrives in the high-stakes world of public and private sector procurement.

You will be responsible for the end-to-end lifecycle of business acquisition—from scouting emerging opportunities to the technical orchestration of winning bids. You will leverage your expertise in NipeX, SAP Ariba, and ERP systems to navigate complex compliance landscapes and secure high-value contracts. If you have a 5-year track record of winning competitive tenders and managing OEM relationships, we invite you to drive our revenue growth.

Requirements:

1. Tender & Bid Lifecycle Orchestration

  • End-to-End Management: Lead the full bid lifecycle, including Expression of Interest (EOI), RFQ, and RFP submissions, ensuring 100% compliance with rigorous tender requirements.

  • Technical Synergy: Liaise with Finance, Legal, and Technical teams to architect competitive pricing structures and robust technical proposals.

  • Platform Mastery: Expertly manage submissions through NipeX, SAP Ariba, and other enterprise procurement portals.

2. Strategic Growth & Market Intelligence

  • Pipeline Governance: Track and manage the tender pipeline, providing data-driven reports to executive management on win/loss ratios and market trends.

  • Competitor Intelligence: Conduct deep-market research to identify emerging industry shifts and competitor positioning, ensuring our bids remain ahead of the curve.

  • OEM & Partner Management: Coordinate with Original Equipment Manufacturers (OEMs) and strategic partners to strengthen technical submissions and broaden our service capabilities.

3. Relationship Architecture & Negotiation

  • Client Stewardship: Develop and maintain high-level relationships with decision-makers in public and private sectors and regulatory bodies.

  • Contract Finalization: Lead high-stakes negotiations to close deals that align with company profitability targets and long-term objectives.

  • Proposal Excellence: Craft compelling, persuasive proposals and presentations that clearly articulate our unique value proposition.

Qualifications and Skills:

Professional Profile

  • Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Engineering, or a related field.

  • Experience: Minimum of 5 years of progressive experience in Business Development with a heavy focus on Tendering and Bidding.

  • Systems IQ: Advanced proficiency in SAP Ariba, NipeX, and standard ERP environments.

  • Procurement Expertise: In-depth knowledge of Nigerian procurement processes and contract compliance standards.

  • Financial Acumen: Strong ability to handle complex pricing models and analytical data.
