Job Description:

• To perform information technology and network audits throughout MTNN.

Division: Internal Audit and Forensic Services
Reports To: Manager - Network Audit

Key Responsibilities

• Identify, assess, and document risks associated with network infrastructure, including hardware, software, and communication protocols.
• Provide recommendations for mitigating identified risks and reducing the organization’s overall exposure to network-related vulnerabilities.
• Conduct thorough assessments of network infrastructure to ensure compliance with external regulations, security best practices, and industry standards (e.g., ISO 27001, ISO 9001).
• Effectively engage audit stakeholders end-to-end to ensure that audit objectives are well communicated.
• Ensure that audit engagements are performed in line with the Institute of Internal Audit methodology adopted by MTN Nigeria.
• Document relevant facts and information during an audit engagement to support testing of controls and conclusions, enabling independent reviewers to follow the logic and methodology applied.
• Prepare audit reports for each engagement performed.
• Ensure that audits are carried out on the eGRC system in line with processes and methodologies mandated by the Group Internal Audit and Forensics function.
• Work with management to address audit observations and follow up to ensure execution of management action plans and adequate risk mitigation.
• Maintain all MTN and professional ethical standards and ensure internal audit activities comply with The International Standards for the Professional Practice of Internal Auditing (Standards) and IIA Code of Ethics.
• Promote continuous improvement of the internal audit function.

Requirements:

• First degree in a related discipline.
• Fluent in English.
• CISA, CIA, or experience in an internal audit function.

Experience:

• 3–7 years’ experience in IT and/or Network Audit or a related specialization.
• Experience working in a medium-sized organization.
• Experience in an internal audit function.
