Job Description:
The Assistant Operations Manager supports the Operations Manager in overseeing daily cleaning operations, ensuring service quality, client satisfaction, staff performance, and adherence to safety and company standards. This role helps coordinate teams, manage schedules, inspect sites, and resolve operational issues to ensure smooth and efficient service delivery.
Requirements:
Key Responsibilities
1. Operational Management
Assist in planning and coordinating daily cleaning operations across various client sites.
Ensure cleaning teams follow proper procedures, schedules, and quality standards.
Conduct routine site inspections to monitor cleanliness, hygiene, and service performance.
Handle urgent operational issues, staff shortages, or client requests in a timely manner.
2. Staff Supervision & Training
Support recruitment, onboarding, and training of cleaning staff.
Allocate staff to different sites based on workload and skill requirements.
Monitor employee attendance, productivity, and compliance with company policies.
Provide coaching, feedback, and recommendations for performance improvement.
3. Client Relationship Management
Maintain good relationships with clients and address queries or concerns.
Assist in preparing reports, incident logs, and service updates for clients.
Participate in client meetings or site walkthroughs when required.
4. Inventory & Equipment Control
Oversee stock levels of cleaning supplies, chemicals, and equipment.
Ensure proper maintenance of machines and tools (vacuum cleaners, scrubbers, etc.).
Assist in procurement and manage usage to minimize wastage.
5. Compliance, Health & Safety
Ensure cleaning teams follow health and safety regulations and company SOPs.
Assist in conducting safety training and risk assessments.
Report accidents, incidents, or hazards promptly and take corrective action.
6. Reporting & Administrative Tasks
Assist in preparing daily, weekly, and monthly operational reports.
Help track budget usage, labor hours, and operational expenses.
Update schedules, staff assignments, and internal documentation.
Qualifications and Skills:
Skills & Qualifications
Required
Experience in cleaning services, facility management, or similar operational roles.
Strong leadership and team management capabilities.
Good communication and customer service skills.
Ability to handle multiple tasks and work in a fast-paced environment.
Knowledge of cleaning chemicals, equipment, and industry best practices.
Strong attention to detail and problem-solving abilities.
Preferred
Supervisory or assistant management experience.
Driver’s license (if role requires site visits).
Certification in cleaning management, facility services, or health and safety.
Salary
