Job Description:
We are seeking a dynamic and results-driven Hotel Assistant Manager to anchor our daily operations. In the competitive hospitality landscape, success is defined by "Symphonic Coordination", the ability to harmonize front desk, housekeeping, F&B, and security into a single, high-performing unit. This role is designed for an "Operational Leader" with 2–5 years of experience who can blend "Exceptional Guest Diplomacy" with the "Managerial Grit" required to enforce policy and drive staff performance.
Your mission is to ensure "Flawless Service Delivery and Absolute Operational Consistency." You will be the primary deputy to the Hotel Manager: responsible for supervising multidisciplinary teams, resolving complex guest issues, and maintaining the highest standards of safety and hygiene. If you possess "Leadership Prowess," a degree in Hospitality Management, and the agility to manage a 24/7 environment, we want you to drive our excellence.
Requirements:
1. Multidisciplinary Team Governance
Active Supervision: Oversee the daily performance of the Front Desk, Housekeeping, Food & Beverage, and Security departments to ensure peak efficiency.
Workforce Orchestration: Manage staff scheduling, duty rosters, and attendance, ensuring that all shifts are optimally manned to meet guest demand.
Performance Mentorship: Monitor staff discipline and provide ongoing training and onboarding for new hires to maintain a culture of excellence.
2. Guest Advocacy & Conflict Resolution
Service Standards: Maintain a visible presence in guest areas to ensure high standards of customer service and immediate guest satisfaction.
Resolution Mastery: Act as the primary point of escalation for guest complaints, utilizing professional diplomacy to resolve issues promptly and restore brand loyalty.
Policy Enforcement: Consistently apply hotel rules and Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) to ensure a safe and professional environment for both guests and staff.
3. Facility Stewardship & Reporting
Standards Maintenance: Conduct regular walkthroughs to ensure the hotel meets strict cleanliness, safety, and maintenance benchmarks.
Operational Intelligence: Prepare daily reports and data-driven updates for senior management, identifying trends in occupancy and service performance.
Strategic Continuity: Step in as the acting Hotel Manager when required, providing seamless leadership during management transitions or absences.
Qualifications and Skills:
Professional Profile
Education: HND or B.Sc Degree in Hospitality Management or a related discipline.
Experience: 2–5 years of progressive experience in hotel operations or a supervisory role.
Technical Mastery: Computer literacy is essential; familiarity with Property Management Systems (PMS) is a significant advantage.
Location: Proximity to the job location is highly preferred.
Core Competencies
Managerial Grit: Strong leadership skills with the ability to manage diverse personalities and high-pressure situations.
Problem-Solving Prowess: Excellent conflict resolution skills and the ability to think on your feet.
Operational Flexibility: Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends, nights, and holidays.
