About Company:
Oilserv Limited is a leading provider of integrated engineering, procurement, construction, installation & commissioning (EPCIC) services and complementary solutions across the asset and program life cycle within the onshore, offshore and subsea market segments of the oil and gas sector.
Job Description:
We are seeking a high-caliber Assets Supervisor to serve as the strategic custodian of our physical and technical infrastructure in Port Harcourt. This is a senior-level role (5–10 years experience) designed for an "Asset Strategist"—someone who understands that maximizing uptime is a result of rigorous predictive maintenance and disciplined user governance.
Your mission is to oversee the entire asset lifecycle, from pre-acquisition analysis to final disposal. You will be responsible for managing asset registers, supervising maintenance teams, and implementing "Zero-Failure" strategies to protect company investments. If you have the analytical depth to model asset lifecycles and the leadership grit to enforce usage policies in a high-velocity engineering environment, we want you to lead our asset integrity team.
Requirements:
1. Technical Asset Integrity & Reliability
Uptime Engineering: Execute an effective predictive and preventive maintenance program to minimize unscheduled downtime, ensuring all assets remain in peak operating condition.
Condition Monitoring: Conduct detailed annual inspections of construction equipment and bi-annual inspections of the vehicle fleet, utilizing fault matrix analysis to identify and remediate developing trends.
User Governance: Proactively manage and prevent user-induced damages by developing and implementing rigorous training schedules for all asset operators.
2. Financial Stewardship & Market Intelligence
Cost Optimization: Identify and deliver operational cost reduction and avoidance initiatives, ensuring all asset-related costs are captured and posted with 100% accuracy.
Lease & Market Analysis: Carry out periodic market surveys on lease rates and model the full operating life-cycle cost to provide data-backed recommendations on investments.
Supply Chain Oversight: Manage supplier delivery performance and maintain strategic contracts to ensure project deadlines are met on all asset requisitions.
3. Compliance, Risk & Reporting
Statutory Governance: Ensure 100% availability of up-to-date statutory documents for all assets and enforce the company’s unique identification coding.
Verification & Audits: Conduct physical annual inventory verifications and weekly register updates to ensure the integrity of the Asset Register.
Safety Leadership: Lead incident investigations involving assets and maintain a "Zero LTI (Lost Time Injury)" environment across all maintenance and operational activities.
Qualifications and Skills:
Professional Profile
Education: HND or B.Sc. in Social Sciences, Engineering, or a related field.
Experience: 5–10 years of progressive experience in Maintenance and Technical Asset Management.
Location: Must be based in Port Harcourt, Rivers State.
Added Advantage: Professional membership in relevant Asset Management or Engineering bodies (e.g., AMP, IAM).
Core Competencies
Analytical Prowess: Ability to develop measuring tools for asset optimization and conduct complex fault-tree analysis.
Leadership: Proven ability to coach technical staff and manage multi-disciplinary asset teams.
Strategic Planning: Skilled in resource leveling and scheduling maintenance workloads to avoid project bottlenecks.
