We are recruiting to fill the position below:

Job Description:

  • We are seeking a competent and efficient Accountant to take full responsibility for the organisation’s day-to-day financial operations.
  • The ideal candidate will independently manage accounting records, financial reporting, reconciliations, and compliance activities, ensuring accuracy, transparency, and financial discipline across the business.
  • This role requires ownership, attention to detail, and the ability to work with minimal supervision.

Key Responsibilities

  • Maintain complete and accurate accounting records, including general ledger, journals, and supporting schedules.
  • Prepare and submit daily, weekly, and monthly financial reports to management.
  • Manage accounts payable and receivable, including invoicing, payment tracking, and follow-ups.
  • Perform bank reconciliations and ensure cash and bank balances are accurate at all times.
  • Monitor cash flow, expenses, and budget performance, flagging variances and risks early.
  • Prepare payroll records and ensure accurate computation of statutory deductions (PAYE, pension, etc.).
  • Ensure proper documentation, filing, and record-keeping for audit and regulatory purposes.
  • Ensure compliance with internal financial controls, policies, and basic regulatory requirements.
  • Liaise with management, auditors, and external consultants on financial matters when required.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
  • 1–2 years of hands-on accounting experience with end-to-end responsibility.
  • Solid understanding of accounting principles and basic financial reporting.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and accounting software.
  • Strong analytical skills, accuracy, and attention to detail.
  • High level of integrity, accountability, and confidentiality.
  • Ability to work independently and meet reporting deadlines.
  • ICAN/ACCA (part qualification or student membership) is an added advantage.

Salary

N200,000 - N250,000 / month
