Victoria island, Lagos, Nigeria | Posted on 11/03/2026

About Company:

OneVERIFY Limited is a leading Nigerian technology company specializing in digital identity, verification, RegTech, AI, cybersecurity, and blockchain-based solutions. We build platforms that enable secure identity verification, AML / KYC compliance, fraud prevention, and data integrity for both government and private sector clients. Our people are our greatest asset, and we prioritize fostering a high-performance, inclusive, and compliant organizational culture.

Job Description:

We are seeking a high-integrity and analytically sharp Accountant to anchor our financial governance. In the high-stakes sectors of RegTech, AI, and Cybersecurity, success is defined by "Fiscal Transparency", the ability to maintain meticulous records while navigating the complex regulatory landscape of Nigerian tax laws and accounting standards. This role is designed for a "Financial Steward" with 3–5 years of experience who can blend "Advanced Financial Reporting" with the "Operational Grit" required to manage budgets and prevent financial mismanagement.

Your mission is to ensure "Optimal Financial Health and Absolute Regulatory Compliance." You will be the primary guardian of our ledger: responsible for monthly financial statements, tax filings, and the implementation of robust internal controls. If you possess "Numerical Precision," a background in Corporate/Tech Accounting, and are pursuing or hold an ACA/ACCA/ICAN certification, we want you to drive our financial excellence.

Requirements:

1. Ledger Integrity & Financial Reporting

  • Full-Cycle Accounting: Maintain the company's "Source of Truth" by recording daily revenue, expenses, and payments with 100% accuracy.

  • Statement Architecture: Prepare comprehensive monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements that provide the executive team with actionable insights for strategic planning.

  • Reconciliation Mastery: Conduct rigorous monthly reconciliations of bank accounts and general ledgers to identify and resolve discrepancies immediately.

2. Budgetary Control & Financial Intelligence

  • Forecast Orchestration: Assist in designing and monitoring company budgets, ensuring that operational spending remains strictly aligned with approved financial forecasts.

  • Expenditure Tracking: Track cash flow and expenditures, providing variance analysis to management to support resource optimization.

  • Payable/Receivable Governance: Oversee the end-to-end invoicing and collection process, maintaining strong vendor relationships while ensuring timely revenue inflow.

3. Compliance, Tax & Risk Management

  • Regulatory Stewardship: Ensure all financial activities comply with Nigerian tax laws (CIT, VAT, WHT) and industry-specific financial regulations.

  • Audit Leadership: Support internal and external audit processes by providing organized, transparent, and audit-ready documentation.

  • Fraud Mitigation: Implement and maintain internal financial controls to detect and prevent mismanagement, ensuring transparency across all technology-driven transactions.

Qualifications and Skills:

Professional Profile

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.

  • Certification: Professional certification (ACA, ACCA, or ICAN) is highly desirable.

  • Experience: 3–5 years of progressive accounting experience, preferably in a corporate or SaaS/Tech environment.

  • Technical Mastery: High proficiency in Accounting Software (e.g., QuickBooks, SAGE, or Odoo) and advanced Microsoft Excel.

Core Competencies

  • Analytical Grit: Strong ability to interpret complex financial data and provide strategic summaries.

  • Compliance Literacy: Deep knowledge of Nigerian financial regulations and reporting standards (IFRS).

  • Integrity: A high level of confidentiality and ethical standards in managing company funds.
