Job Description:
We are seeking a skilled, reliable, and experienced Accountant to join our finance team in Warri. In this role, you will be the guardian of the company’s financial integrity, responsible for managing comprehensive financial records and ensuring absolute compliance with statutory and regulatory requirements. You will go beyond routine bookkeeping to provide the accurate financial intelligence necessary to support high-level business decisions and long-term sustainability.

Requirements:
Financial Recording & Reporting
Comprehensive Accounting: Prepare and maintain accurate financial records, reports, and statements in line with global accounting standards.
Reporting Cycles: Lead the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports, ensuring all deadlines for management review are met.
Audit Support: Act as a key point of contact during internal and external audit processes, providing the necessary documentation and reconciliations to ensure smooth verification.
Cash Flow & Transaction Management
Ledger Oversight: Manage the full cycle of accounts payable and receivable, ensuring vendors are paid on time and receivables are collected efficiently.
Reconciliation: Conduct rigorous bank statement reconciliations and monitor company cash flow to ensure optimal liquidity for operations.
Efficiency Monitoring: Continuously monitor financial transactions and recommend process improvements to enhance departmental efficiency.
Budgeting & Compliance
Forecasting: Prepare detailed budgets, financial forecasts, and expenditure reports to guide departmental spending and strategic planning.
Tax & Regulatory: Ensure the organization remains in full compliance with Nigerian tax laws, accounting principles, and internal company policies.
Documentation: Maintain a meticulous and organized filing system for all financial records, ensuring data longevity and accessibility.
Qualifications and Skills:
Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline.
Experience:
2–4 years of relevant accounting experience in a structured corporate environment.
Professional certification such as ICAN or ACCA is a significant advantage.
Technical Skills:
High proficiency in modern accounting software (e.g., Sage, QuickBooks, or SAP).
Advanced mastery of Microsoft Excel for financial modeling and data analysis.
Core Competencies:
Numerical Accuracy: Exceptional attention to detail with zero tolerance for errors in financial reporting.
Regulatory Knowledge: Deep understanding of current tax regulations and accounting principles (IFRS/GAAP).
Integrity: A high level of professional ethics and discretion.
Geographic Requirement: Candidates must reside in Warri, Delta State, or its immediate environs.
