About Company:

G-Shoppers provide easy food shopping support to homes, career men, women and business people who are faced with the challenge of being constantly away from home and have less or no time to shop as well as cook. We execute orders to supply food stuff and items such as fresh meat, seafood, frozen, dry foods, vegetables, fruits, and prepped, ready-to-cook food ingredients. We are based in Port Harcourt.

We are recruiting to fill the position below:

Job Description:

• We are seeking a detail-oriented Account Officer to support the effective management of the company’s finances.
• The role involves recording, analyzing, and reporting financial data, ensuring accurate bookkeeping, and supporting management with financial planning and decision-making.
• This position is ideal for candidates with strong knowledge of accounting principles, financial reporting, and accounting software.

Responsibilities:

• Perform daily sales reconciliation to ensure accuracy and completeness

• Record and analyze financial transactions and prepare regular financial reports

• Maintain accurate and up-to-date bookkeeping and accounting records

• Work closely with management in reviewing and approving company expenses

• Assist with budget preparation, financial planning, and forecasting

• Ensure all operational facilities maintain accurate and consistent financial data

• Manage the company’s relationship with banks and other financial institutions

• Analyze financial data using ERP systems, QuickBooks, and other accounting software

• Liaise with external auditors and tax consultants to ensure regulatory compliance

Requirements:

• First Degree in Accounting, Banking and Finance, Economics, or a similar financial field with at least 1 year relevant work experience.
• Advanced use of Microsoft Excel and Google Sheets
• Very detailed and not easily distracted
• Should reside near Eliozu
• Should be willing to work Monday to Saturday with one day off a month
• Should be agile, smart, and deeply analytical.
• Ready to resume in a few days.

Key Skills & Competencies

• Strong understanding of financial accounting and bookkeeping

• Experience with QuickBooks, ERP systems, or similar accounting software

• Excellent analytical and reporting skills

• High attention to detail and accuracy
