About Company:

Job Description:

We are seeking a high-velocity and commercially astute Sales Manager to anchor our commercial operations across Western Nigeria. In the hyper-competitive FMCG landscape, success is defined by "Execution Fidelity", the ability to bridge the gap between high-level strategy and ground-level sales velocity. This role is designed for a "Field Force Architect" with 5–8 years of experience who can blend "Analytical Data Rigor" with the "Emotional Intelligence" required to lead a diverse team and negotiate with top-tier distributors.

Your mission is to ensure "Market Share Dominance and Absolute Collection Integrity." You will be the commercial backbone of our Western division: responsible for optimizing route-to-market strategies, securing shelf-space sovereignty, and ensuring that every sale translates into realized revenue. If you possess "Exceptional Negotiation Grit," a background in FMCG Leadership, and the mobility to dominate the Western Nigerian market, we want you to drive our regional expansion.

Requirements:

1. Field Force Orchestration & Route-to-Market

  • Deployment Sovereignty: Plan and optimize field coverage routes to ensure maximum productivity, reducing "windshield time" and maximizing market penetration.

  • Performance Coaching: Lead the field team through regular accompaniment visits and "On-the-Job" coaching, transforming sales reps into high-performing commercial consultants.

  • Operational Alignment: Coordinate with supply chain and logistics to ensure that promotional activities are backed by 100% stock availability and seamless trade execution.

2. Key Account Diplomacy & Shelf Sovereignty

  • Joint Business Planning: Serve as the primary architect for relationships with top-tier retail and wholesale accounts, managing high-stakes negotiations and long-term partnerships.

  • Visibility Engineering: Identify and capture opportunities to grow "Share of Shelf," securing secondary displays and enhanced in-store visibility for our core SKUs.

  • Conflict Resolution: Act as the final point of escalation for commercial disputes, mediating with fairness to maintain trust while protecting the company’s interests.

3. Financial Stewardship & Performance Intelligence

  • Collection Integrity: Oversee the end-to-end accounts receivable process, ensuring that sales velocity is matched by timely payments and minimal bad debt exposure.

  • Actionable Analytics: Leverage CRM data and market trends to generate "Sell-Out" insights, proactively identifying underperforming territories or channels for corrective action.

  • Competitor Surveillance: Monitor market dynamics and competitor maneuvers across Western Nigeria, providing the commercial leadership team with timely, high-fidelity intelligence.

Qualifications and Skills:

Professional Profile

  • Education: Minimum of a Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Marketing, or a related field. (An MBA is a distinct advantage).

  • Experience: 5–8 years of progressive sales experience, with at least 3 years in a leadership role within an FMCG environment.

  • Technical Mastery: Proficiency in Microsoft Office and experience with CRM platforms (e.g., Salesforce, SAP, or SFA tools).

Core Competencies

  • Commercial Acumen: Ability to interpret complex sales data and translate it into profitable territory strategies.

  • Leadership Grit: Proven ability to inspire high performance and manage large field teams across multiple territories.

  • Negotiation Prowess: Exceptional skills in senior-level commercial negotiations and conflict management.

  • Mobility: Willingness to travel extensively within the Western Nigerian territory to ensure field excellence.
