• Strategic Planning: Develop comprehensive mining plans, including resource allocation, scheduling, and project budgeting.

• Process Optimization: Oversee and refine extraction processes by implementing advanced mining techniques to maximize safety and efficiency.

• Feasibility & Risk: Conduct thorough feasibility studies, risk assessments, and environmental impact evaluations to ensure project viability.

• Geological Collaboration: Partner with geologists to accurately assess mineral deposit composition and distribution.

• Operational Performance: Monitor daily performance metrics, implementing targeted strategies to enhance productivity and reduce operational costs.

• Compliance & Safety: Champion a culture of safety while ensuring full adherence to mining laws, environmental standards, and regulatory requirements.

• Team Leadership: Train and mentor engineering teams, fostering technical expertise and professional development.

• Stakeholder Management: Maintain clear communication with government agencies and local communities to ensure transparency and project support.

• Innovation: Stay at the forefront of the industry by integrating new technologies and best practices into mining operations.

Qualifications and Skills:

• Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Mining Engineering or a closely related field.

• Experience: 9 – 12 years of proven experience in mining operations or mining engineering.

• Technical Proficiency: Advanced knowledge of industry-standard mining software and design tools.

• Regulatory Knowledge: In-depth understanding of Nigerian mining laws and environmental safety standards.

• Leadership: Demonstrated ability to manage multi-disciplinary teams in a demanding industrial environment.

• Skills: Exceptional problem-solving capabilities, attention to detail, and strong interpersonal communication skills.

• Adaptability: Proven track record of working effectively in challenging environments under strict deadlines.
