It was established as indigenous organizational, registered in 2009 with its headquarter in Abuja, and presence in the four geopolitical regions of Nigeria.  It aims to provide technical assistance to the government and people of Nigeria in the implementation of public health and development programs.

Job Description:

We are seeking a highly skilled and analytical Monitoring & Evaluation (M&E) Specialist to lead and coordinate all M&E and data quality activities for the GAVI-funded project in Kaduna State. You will be responsible for ensuring robust systems are in place to track project performance, including outputs, outcomes, and impact indicators. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in health information systems, specifically DHIS2, and a strong track record of promoting data-driven decision-making to strengthen routine immunization processes.

Requirements:

  • M&E Framework Development: Develop and operationalize comprehensive M&E frameworks, performance monitoring plans (PMP), and standardized reporting tools.

  • Data Lifecycle Management: Oversee the entire data chain, including collection, verification, validation, analysis, secure storage, and timely submission of high-quality reports to project management and international donors.

  • Health Information Systems (HIS): Provide technical support for DHIS2 and other routine health information systems; conduct trend analyses and develop dashboards to drive project performance.

  • Data Quality Assurance (DQA): Lead DQA efforts, conduct supportive supervision visits, and facilitate corrective action planning to ensure data integrity.

  • Capacity Building: Build the competency of health workers and program teams through targeted training, mentoring, and the development of clear Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and job aids.

  • Stakeholder Collaboration: Partner with government agencies and project stakeholders to align M&E activities with national guidelines and donor requirements.

  • Compliance: Ensure full adherence to donor protocols, ethical standards, and data confidentiality obligations.

Qualifications and Skills:

  • Education:

    • Minimum: Bachelor’s Degree in Statistics, Epidemiology, Public Health, Demography, Computer Science, Health Information Management, Social Sciences, or a related field.

    • Preferred: A Master’s degree in Public Health, Epidemiology, Biostatistics, or M&E is an added advantage.

  • Experience: 5–7 years of relevant experience in M&E, data quality management, and health information systems within the public health sector.

  • Donor Expertise: Demonstrated success working on donor-funded programs (e.g., GAVI, Global Fund, USAID, UNICEF, or WHO).

  • Technical Skills:

    • Expert-level hands-on experience with DHIS2 and MS Excel.

    • Proficiency in data visualization and analysis tools such as Power BI, Tableau, SPSS, or STATA.

  • Subject Matter Knowledge: Deep understanding of immunization indicators, health systems strengthening (HSS), and routine data processes.

  • Regional Context: Familiarity with the Kaduna State health system and the operational context of Northern Nigeria is highly preferred.

  • Communication: Exceptional analytical, report-writing, and presentation skills.
