Job Description:
Are you a tech-savvy professional passionate about leveraging technology to enhance educational environments? We are seeking a proactive IT Support Officer to ensure the seamless operation of our school’s IT infrastructure. You will be the primary point of contact for technical assistance, ensuring our digital learning tools and administrative systems remain efficient, secure, and user-friendly.
Requirements:
Technical Helpdesk Support: Deliver responsive first-level IT support to staff, ensuring swift resolution of technical issues to minimize classroom and office disruptions.
Systems & Network Maintenance: Oversee the upkeep of school computer systems, networks, software, printers, and scanners.
Database Administration: Manage and maintain Virtual Learning Environments (VLE) and Student Management System (SMS) databases.
Cloud & Identity Management: Administer Microsoft Azure and Active Directory platforms to ensure secure and efficient access for all users.
System Security: Proactively monitor system performance, apply critical patches, and manage antivirus updates to safeguard our digital environment.
Hardware Configuration: Handle the installation, configuration, and upgrading of all hardware, software, and applications.
Multimedia & Learning Tools: Provide dedicated support for interactive learning hardware, including Interactive Whiteboards (IWB) and Interactive Flat Panels (IFP).
Capacity Building: Support the professional development of staff by facilitating basic ICT training sessions.
Innovation: Keep abreast of emerging technology trends and advancements to suggest improvements to our current systems.
Qualifications and Skills:
Location: Candidates must reside within or have easy access to the Abijo, Awoyaya, Epe, and Ajah axis.
Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
Experience: Proven experience in IT support, systems administration, or helpdesk operations.
Technical Proficiency: Solid knowledge of Microsoft Azure, Active Directory, networking principles, and system security protocols.
Skills:
Exceptional troubleshooting and creative problem-solving abilities.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills to assist a diverse user base.
Ability to manage tasks independently and contribute effectively within a team environment.
