Job Description:

The Human Resources and Operations Officer supports the HR department in implementing policies, managing employee relations, and ensuring smooth organizational operations. This dual-focused role requires an individual who can bridge the gap between effective talent management and the operational logistics of the real estate/construction industry.

Requirements:

Core HR Responsibilities

  • Recruitment: Develop job descriptions, post vacancies, screen resumes, conduct interviews, and manage the full hiring and onboarding cycle.

  • Employee Relations: Act as the primary point of contact for staff queries, handle grievances, and support the HR Manager in disciplinary and conflict resolution matters.

  • Performance Management: Implement appraisal systems, assist managers in setting objectives, and provide employee coaching.

  • Development: Identify training needs, coordinate programs, and maintain records to ensure compliance with company policies and labor laws.

  • Administration: Maintain accurate employee records, prepare HR reports (attendance, leave, payroll), and ensure strict adherence to Nigerian labor legislation.

Operations & Supply Chain Responsibilities

  • Operational Efficiency: Evaluate and enhance processes to maximize productivity and eliminate inefficiencies.

  • Supply Chain: Manage procurement, inventory control, and distribution activities.

  • Collaboration: Supervise cross-departmental workflows to ensure alignment with company goals.

  • Risk & Compliance: Track KPIs, analyze data, and implement corrective measures.

  • Health & Safety: Support the implementation of safety policies and conduct regular site/office inspections.

Qualifications and Skills:

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.

  • Experience: Minimum of 3 years in a similar HR role, preferably within the real estate or construction industry.

  • Legal Knowledge: Strong understanding of Nigerian labor laws and industry-standard HR best practices.

  • Technical Skills: Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and relevant HR management software.

Salary

₦200,000 - ₦300,000/month
