Job Description:
We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Human Capital Officer to join our team. The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in supporting the development and execution of our HR strategies, policies, and procedures. This position is ideal for an HR professional dedicated to fostering a positive workplace culture, ensuring regulatory compliance, and driving organizational excellence through effective talent and performance management.
Requirements:
Talent Acquisition & Onboarding: Facilitate end-to-end recruitment processes, including job postings, candidate screening, and seamless onboarding experiences for new hires.
Employee Relations: Serve as a reliable point of contact for employee inquiries, managing workplace relations, and mediating conflict to maintain a harmonious work environment.
Performance Management: Assist in the administration of performance appraisal cycles, helping managers and employees set and track development goals.
HR Administration & Data Integrity: Maintain accurate employee records, HRIS databases, and documentation, ensuring data confidentiality and retrieval efficiency.
Learning & Development: Support the design and delivery of internal training initiatives aimed at professional growth and skill enhancement.
Compliance & Policy Implementation: Ensure strict adherence to Nigerian labor laws, workplace safety regulations, and internal company policies.
Process Improvement: Participate in the continuous review and updating of HR policies to align with business objectives and market best practices.
Qualifications and Skills:
Education: A Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Industrial Relations, or a related field.
Certification: Possession of a professional HR certification (e.g., CIPM, SHRM, or HRCI) will be considered a significant advantage.
Professional Skills:
Communication: Exceptional interpersonal and verbal/written communication skills.
Technical Proficiency: Competency in HR software/HRIS platforms and the Microsoft Office Suite.
Judgment: High level of ethical judgment and ability to handle sensitive/confidential information with discretion.
Problem-Solving: Proven ability to resolve workplace issues and handle conflict with diplomacy.
Operational Excellence: Strong organizational, time management, and attention to detail.
Collaborative Mindset: Strong team player with the ability to adapt to a fast-paced work environment.
