Job Description:
- We are currently seeking a highly motivated and experienced HSES Associate to join our team at an energy production company.
- The successful candidate will be responsible for supporting the development and implementation of the Health, Safety, Environmental and Social (HSES) programs across our projects sites, operations and supply chain.
Requirements:
- Ensure compliance with company policies and safe work procedures, as well as local, state, and federal regulations.
- Participate in policy review and implementation
- Conduct regular site inspections and audits to ensure compliance with HSES standards and identify areas for improvement
- Conducting training sessions and workshops on HSES related topics for employees and contractors to increase awareness and promote a culture of safety.
- Support in development of company impact reports
- Participate in incident investigations and support the development of corrective and preventive actions.
- Maintaining and updating HSSE-related records, reports, and documentation to ensure accuracy and completeness.
- Actively provide support in establishment of ISO 9001 management system
- Coordinating with other departments to ensure compliance with HSES-related requirements, such as grievance redress, stakeholders engagement, projects E&S screening, safe work procedures and emergency response plans.
- Ensure that all necessary HSES permits and licenses are obtained and maintained.
Qualifications and Skills:
- Bachelor's degree in OSH, Environmental science or a relevant field
- NEBOSH IGC certification
- At least 4 years’ experience in a HSSE role in an energy production company.
- Demonstrate knowledge of relevant regulations, industry standards such as OSHA Act, Environmental regulations, SDGs, IFC Standards and NEMSA Safety protocols
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Flexible to travel to various project sites.
