Job Description:

  • We are currently seeking a highly motivated and experienced HSES Associate to join our team at an energy production company. 
  • The successful candidate will be responsible for supporting the development and implementation of the Health, Safety, Environmental and Social (HSES) programs across our projects sites, operations and supply chain.

Requirements:

  • Ensure compliance with company policies and safe work procedures, as well as local, state, and federal regulations.
  • Participate in policy review and implementation
  • Conduct regular site inspections and audits to ensure compliance with HSES standards and identify areas for improvement
  • Conducting training sessions and workshops on HSES related topics for employees and contractors to increase awareness and promote a culture of safety.
  • Support in development of company impact reports
  • Participate in incident investigations and support the development of corrective and preventive actions.
  • Maintaining and updating HSSE-related records, reports, and documentation to ensure accuracy and completeness.
  • Actively provide support in establishment of  ISO 9001 management system 
  • Coordinating with other departments to ensure compliance with HSES-related requirements, such as grievance redress, stakeholders engagement, projects E&S screening, safe work procedures and emergency response plans.
  • Ensure that all necessary HSES permits and licenses are obtained and maintained.

Qualifications and Skills:

  • Bachelor's degree in OSH, Environmental science or a relevant field
  • NEBOSH IGC certification
  • At least 4 years’ experience in a HSSE role in an energy production company.
  • Demonstrate knowledge of relevant regulations, industry standards such as OSHA Act, Environmental regulations, SDGs, IFC Standards and NEMSA Safety protocols
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Flexible to travel to various project sites.
  • •Member of a relevant professional body.
