Job Description:

Are you a safety-focused professional with a passion for infrastructure? We are looking for an experienced HSE Supervisor to lead health, safety, and environmental initiatives for our major road construction projects. If you have a proven track record in site safety, traffic management, and regulatory compliance, we want to hear from you.

Requirements:

• HSE Strategy & Implementation: Develop, deploy, and audit comprehensive HSE policies, procedures, and safety programs across all active project sites.

• Compliance & Risk Management: Conduct rigorous site inspections and proactive risk assessments to ensure full adherence to local Nigerian and international safety standards.

• Traffic Management: Oversee and coordinate traffic safety operations in construction zones to ensure the safety of both site personnel and the public.

• Training & Mentorship: Lead impactful HSE inductions, daily toolbox talks, and specialized safety training sessions for all site staff.

• Incident Investigation: Perform detailed investigations into incidents and near-misses; drive timely reporting and the implementation of effective corrective actions.

• Stakeholder Liaison: Act as the primary point of contact for project management and regulatory authorities regarding all HSE compliance matters.

• Safety Culture: Foster a robust, proactive safety culture and champion continuous improvement in site-wide safety practices.

Qualifications and Skills:

• Certifications: Must hold relevant professional HSE certifications (e.g., NEBOSH, IOSH, ISPON, or equivalent).

• Experience: A minimum of 8 years of experience in HSE supervision, specifically within the construction or infrastructure sector.

• Specialized Expertise: Proven, hands-on experience in traffic management and control on active, high-traffic road construction sites.

• Regulatory Knowledge: Deep understanding of local and international HSE regulations, environmental laws, and industry best practices.

• Soft Skills: Excellent leadership, communication, and technical reporting skills, with the ability to manage diverse teams in challenging environments.
