Job Description:

We are seeking a highly competent, detail-oriented Chartered Accountant to join our team in Port Harcourt. If you are a proactive finance professional with deep expertise in Nigerian financial reporting, regulatory compliance, and tax management, we want to hear from you. This role is pivotal for ensuring our statutory integrity while providing the strategic financial insights necessary to drive business growth.

Requirements:

• Financial Reporting & Accuracy: Prepare precise financial statements, reports, and documentation; maintain rigorous accounting records to ensure total data accuracy.

• Regulatory Compliance: Ensure strict adherence to Nigerian financial regulations and the latest tax reforms.

• Comprehensive Tax Management: Oversee all taxation processes, including PAYE, VAT, WHT, CIT, CGT, and NTAA compliance. Manage end-to-end tax planning, filing, and timely remittance of all statutory obligations.

• Liaison: Act as the primary contact for regulatory bodies, including the FIRS and various State Internal Revenue Services.

• Audit & Risk: Conduct internal audits and proactive financial risk assessments.

• Strategic Advisory: Analyze financial transactions to provide actionable insights that improve operational efficiency; support robust budgeting, forecasting, and long-term financial planning.

Qualifications and Skills:

• Education: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting (preferred), Finance, Economics, or a related field.

• Certification: Must be a Chartered Accountant (ICAN or ACCA is mandatory).

• Experience: 3–5 years of proven professional experience, specifically within the Oil & Gas, Construction, or Equipment Leasing sectors.

• Tax Expertise: Strong, hands-on experience with Nigerian tax laws and reforms, including PAYE, VAT, WHT, and CIT.

• Technical Skills: Proficiency in advanced Microsoft Excel and industry-standard accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Sage, or similar).

• Professional Competencies: Deep knowledge of financial reporting standards (IFRS/GAAP), exceptional attention to detail, and an unwavering commitment to integrity and ethical standards.
