Job Description:
- We are seeking a detail-oriented and analytical Finance Associate to support day-to-day financial operations, including budgeting, reporting, account reconciliation, and financial analysis.
- The ideal candidate will have a strong foundation in finance and accounting principles, excellent organizational skills, and the ability to contribute to both operational and strategic financial activities.
Responsibilities
- Assist with the preparation of financial statements, management reports, and variance analysis.
- Support month-end and year-end closing processes.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date general ledger accounts and supporting documentation.
- Perform reconciliations of bank accounts, and internal financial records.
- Support budgeting and forecasting activities and provide data-driven insights to improve financial performance.
- Assist with audits, ensuring compliance with internal policies and external regulations.
- Process invoices, payments, and expense reports in a timely and accurate manner.
- Coordinate with other departments to gather financial data and improve reporting efficiency.
- Contribute to the improvement of financial processes, controls, and systems.
- Stay updated on financial regulations and trends relevant to the organization.
Requirements:
- HND / BSc Degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in a finance or accounting role
- Strong understanding of financial principles, accounting standards, and reporting practices.
- Proficient in MS Excel and financial/accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, SAP, Oracle).
- Excellent analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Effective communication skills and ability to work collaboratively across teams.
