Job Description:

Procurement & Cost Management:

  • Track and manage prices for all materials including cleaning supplies, maintenance items, furniture, care products, hospitality amenities, etc.
  • Develop and maintain a structured cost database for all categories.
  • Conduct price forecasting and provide insights to guide purchasing decisions.
  • Ensure procurement processes align with budget targets and organisational standards.

 

Supplier Evaluation & Research:

  • Conduct regular supplier comparisons to evaluate pricing, quality, and reliability.
  • Source and engage with new vendors to broaden procurement options and reduce costs.
  • Physically check and compare prices for all products across markets, including items for care homes, hospitality, and general amenities.
  • Research products across various industries that can be imported to the UK and provide recommendations based on quality, compliance, and cost-effectiveness.

 

Budget & Reporting:

  • Provide monthly cost analysis, variance reports, and savings updates.
  • Recommend strategies to optimise spending and reduce wastage.
  • Collaborate with operations, finance, and supply-chain teams to streamline purchasing workflows.

Requirements:

  • Strong analytical and negotiation skills.
  • Ability to conduct field research and price comparisons independently.
  • Excellent reporting, documentation, and communication abilities.
  • Understanding of international sourcing, especially UK compliance and product standards, is an advantage.

Qualifications and Skills:

  • BSc Accounting, Business Administration, Supply Chain Management or related field.
  • Minimum of 2 years experience in procurement, cost control, or supply chain management (hospitality or Propertyill Management experience is an added advantage).
